Missing persons: Petition filed for placement of Pasha's name on ECL
The petition was filed by Advocate Tariq Assad, counsel for the relatives of missing persons.
In the petition, Assad argues that the missing persons case is still pending before the court, while Pasha is due to retire on March 18 and there are chances that he might leave the country.
He states that around 3,000 people were still in ISI custody centres set up on the orders of Pasha and it would be better if he is bound by the court to stay in Pakistan till the case is resolved. “He may be of great assistance in resolving all the cases of missing persons too.”
The petition states that eleven missing persons had been “abducted on May 29, 2010 by the DG ISI (as evident from DSR of Special Police annexed with the main petition) after their release orders passed by the Lahore High Court Rawalpindi Bench.”
It says that later Pasha in a statement before the court on December 9, 2010 and June 1, 2011 had said that they had arrested the men and they would be tried under Army Act 1952, and hence they were not in illegal conferment. “But they were never tried under the Army Act and four of them died in the custody of ISI,” states the petition.

These ISI people should be responsible and are subjected to produce evidences and proofs to validate the detention of missing people of the country. They should be dealt with hard hand.
Why is the moderator censoring the questioning of the competency of Pasha, while he retains the showers of love in these posts?
Do the viewers need to write to the editor to have their voice heard regarding the partiality of the moderator with the time of the posting, as the Express Tribune clearly states itself to be a progressive newspaper, and this partiality issue does not seem to go along well with the newspaper's policy.

General Pasha served under the worst condition this country ever had.....his services to rebuild our first defense line I S I after musharaf had weakened it,will long be remembered!

Nobody is questioning Gen Pasha's commitment to the country, his allegiance or even his intent, but what he did, or allowed to happen, was wrong, just plain wrong. Everyone have a right to a free and fair trial, no matter who they are or what they are accused of, bar none!
An illustrious career otherwise, especially given the mess he had to deal with, both inside and outside the country.
Ungrateful fellow countrymen and women,please leave the defence forces alone.Don't malign them for scoring points.Remember they they are the only reliable,disciplined and patriot institution and if you destroy them today you will regret beyond any repair.yes missing persons should be found but don't blame the military for that.You have a govt who is answerable to the families of the missing.Don't waste courts time.

Our History Is that any one,no matter a Genearl or a Politician, if found doing some thing for thisCountry is either put on EXIT CONTROL LIST or HANGED. But Corrupt one's remain in the Office. No One one else to Blame but Pakistanis who have not been educated.
Its better to put him on Exit Control List than to put him on Entry control list, after he has fled.
Based on recent history I would suggest we cut the charade and simply institute a system whereby all government officials get arrested the day they leave office, their names places on the ECL and NAB investigations launched against them. Though it may sound unreasonable, it is reasonable to assume that 99% of them would have assets or information that they neglected to reveal.
Missing persons. Who kidnaps and hand them over to USA or kills and tortures them? If they are terrorists, why do ISI take law into their own hands and not bring them before the courts. Remember "One is innocent until convicted by a court". Is there a law of jungle? Just say Mr X is a terrorist and arrest him. Thank God, Pakistan is seeing light of justice which was denied previously. I am proud to call myself as a Pakistani. In UK, where I live, attempts are being made to bring the so-called mighty to justice. I refer to the News International empire which was really a kingmaker in this country.
How can our politicians give order to military? They are doing things which harm the country be it corruption of money, favourable policies (opening afghan route, not blocking air route for nato, allowing drone attacks) or allow attack on Pak soil (OBL) thus instigating patriot military to take over - as told by Mansoor ijaz otherwise why he had to write memo Pasha was amongst few generals whom americans r scared. Courts find it difficult to call Missing persons as anti-Pakistan person due to lack of evidence or witness. Can u give witness against terrorist?
And yet Haqqani is NOT on the ECL for a pending case? Why?
We all know what Mr Musharraf did. He fled and since has not come back fearing arrest and is now on Entry-Control-List because of the arrest warrent. So it kames sense to put ex ISI Chief on EXIT control list because there are reasons to beleive he poses flight risk.
Good test to see how impartial the SC is.
@Usman, there is no difference between these INNOCENTS GENERALS and MOST INNOCENTS JUDGES. They are alike, sometime we will saw the motive of all happenings in courts, very soon.
Army, no doubt, claim most of the budget expenses, they are corrupt but fortunately or unfortunately this is the last hope of Pakistan. Because this is the only organized organization in our country.
Except terrorists and their supporters, everyone else should be placed on ECL.

Really..there is some strong conspiracy going on against the ISI and the Army, but I hope the Army will never let this happen, otherwise It will be an extreme damage to Pakistan.
