PESHAWAR:

The provincial leadership of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) on Monday urged President Asif Ali Zardari to visit Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa to remove the sense of neglect among party workers.

Addressing a press conference here, the party’s provincial General Secretary Dost Muhammad Khan and Secretary Information Ayub Shah said that the President should visit the province as soon as possible to address the problems of the party workers.

They expressed confidence in the party winning the upcoming general elections, similar to its recent victories in the Senate and by-elections. The leaders added that while the PPP had reinstated the services of federal employees sacked during Nawaz Sharif’s regime, those in the province had not yet been restored.
