Line of duty: Car snatchers hit, injure Motorway policeman

ISLAMABAD:

A motorway police officer suffered serious injuries while trying to intercept a stolen vehicle on the motorway. Inspector Zarrar Khan Niazi signalled for a car to stop near Chakri but it sped on. Niazi then overtook the vehicle after a brief chase, got out of his car and tried to stop it, but the driver barrelled into him. Inspector Niazi was shifted to Pims, where doctors said his spinal cord had been damaged.

Motorway police managed to intercept the vehicle soon after and arrested the driver and a passenger. They confessed to lifting the car from Lahore, adding they were on their way to K-P to sell it.

I salute the daring , dutiful police officer Zarrar Khan Niazi.I really pray for his recovery, though his spinal cord has been damaged, I hope the motorway police with billions in revenue sends him abroad for the spinal cord repair before it is too late.May Allah help the policeman who did not care for his life in the line of his duty.Pakistan needs such human beings.
