KARACHI: Colony Sugar clinched the National Polo Championship Quaid-i-Azam Cup after defeating Nestle 9-5 in Lahore.

Raul Laplacette scored seven goals to beat Nestle and avenge their defeat to the side in the first round.

“It’s exciting to be national champions now,” Laplacette told The Express Tribune.

“Nestle has been a very tough side to play against and that makes the win special because they were unbeaten till the final.”

Meanwhile, Master Paints won the third-place against Pakistan Army-Nadra 11-5.

Nestle finished the group stage after winning all their seven encounters, while Colony Sugar finished the round-robin stage with six victories to qualify for the final.
