Athletics: Liu, Campbell-Brown power on

ISTANBUL: Liu Xiang and Veronica Campbell-Brown breezed through to the semi-finals of their events on the second day of the World Indoor Athletics Championships. Liu, who was the gold-medallist at the 2008 Valencia world indoors, clocked 7.62 seconds in finishing his 60-metre hurdles heat just behind Andrew Pozzi, who topped the timings with 7.61 seconds. Meanwhile, Campbell-Brown, the reigning world and Olympic 200m champion, clocked 7.29 seconds to progress to the semi-finals.
