Veena Malik and Holi
I would like to ask all those huffing and puffing, what is wrong with what Veena Malik is doing. She is in India and she merely happened to have taken part in Holi celebrations — so what is so wrong with that? In the west, people from South Asia take part in Christmas celebrations while in India many Hindus take part in Eid celebrations.
This is a good thing because it shows respect for other people’s faith and beliefs. Veena Malik is a much better human being than the Sindh MPA who slapped another woman because she (Ms Malik) has not done any harm to anyone. More than being religious, Holi is a festival that celebrates a time of harvest. For that matter, a version of Holi, which is known as ‘basant’ is celebrated in Pakistani Punjab as well.

Mr,Kalkhande, I applaud you. I am a muslim and I too would celebrate holi if someone invited. Not because I share the same religious views. but because it looks like so much fun. Happy Holi ... and to people who have issues with muslims / non-muslims celebrating holi .. well ... BURA NA MANOO .. HOLII HAAAAAAIIII
@kaalchakra: You, no doubt, think that you represent the true face of the "Religion of Peace"! You expect others to accept that there is a finally true religion because you say so. Next you will be expecting the world to believe that Pakistan represents the best version of Islam because Zaid Hamid says so.
Not holi, she was actually celebrating women's day at its best... LOL

This is silly in the extreme. Holy is not a 'secular' festival, even if some non-Hindus may take part in it. Of course, all Muslims respect Hinduism, as Islam respects all other religions. But that does not mean Muslims can take part in any of this. Islam as being the only finally true religion does not grant right-thinking human beings permission to take part in such activities. For your own safety, I hope you do not make the mistake of offering best wishes and 'prasadam' randomly to people who follow the only finally true religion of Islam. Of course, you are invited to take part in Eid and such, actually, if you are a tolerant person, you must.
