Sexual assault: Child raped ‘by neighbour’

BAHAWALPUR: A 10-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted by a neighbour in Yazman on Wednesday. The girl, who was deaf and dumb, was alone at her home when the suspect broke in and sexually assaulted her, the FIR registered on her father’s complaint said. Another neighbor, Zahoor, told The Express Tribune that when he had came out on hearing the child’s cries for help he saw the suspect leaving her house and running away. The girl was taken to Bahawal Victoria Hospital where doctors described her condition as critical. They said she had would be discharged after about two weeks. They have sent DNA samples of the child for  chemical examination.
