Cricket: Shahzer guides RLCA to win

KARACHI: Shahzer Hasan top-scored with 68 to guide RLCA Karachi to a narrow two-run win over PIA Academy in their NBP U17 Inter-Academies Twenty20 tournament match at the RCLA Gulberg stadium. Shahzer led the way for his side’s total of 132 for 7 as off-spinner Amit Ravi claimed three scalps. In reply, PIA were restricted to 130 for eight with Inamul Haq making 49 while Noman Butt managing 29. Meanwhile, Junaiduddin bagged three wickets in Omar Associates Cricket Academy Blues’ 18-run victory over NBP Cricket Academy. Sheraz Hussain took three wickets as Customs Academy registered a 58-run triumph against KESC Academy.
