Targeting minorities: Ahmadi man shot dead in Shaheed Benazirabad
A week after an Ahmadi man was shot dead in Moni Bazaar of Shaheed Benazirabad, another was killed on Wednesday.
The victim, Maqsood Ahmad, was a resident of Rabwah in Punjab, where the Ahmadiyya Jamaat is based.
According to a Karachi representative of the Jamaat, Ahmad often travelled from Rabwah to Nawabshah and Karachi to sell and distribute homeopathic medicines and would stay in the city for one or two months at a stretch.
He had rented a place in the city.
Initial accounts collected by the Jamaat stated that Ahmad was shot dead in a marketplace by two motorcyclists.
A Section SHO insisted that the murder took place because of a personal enmity. However, he said that a case had not been registered yet.
On February 29, 80-year-old Chaudhry Akram was shot dead when he was with his grandson, who was injured.
There have been several episodes of targeted attacks against members of the community in Nawabshah and in 2011, a prominent Ahmadi lawyer Malik Mabroor Ahmad was killed outside his office.

After a few days, for winning elections they'll change Pakistan's name to Benaziristan or Zulfiqaristan!
This is a news for those who think Ahmadis belong to an elite group. The man was a salesperson and just trying to make ends meet.
it can be personel enmity and many people die every day only ahmadis killing are reported so majorities are also not safe then y targeting minorities living rights only we all suffer in pakistan on hands of mullahs

We all are surrounded in living in shadows of fear. Why don't honorable Chief Justice of Pakistan, top notch Government officials, Law enforcement agencies take notice of these events because they also fears severe outcomes of touching this hyper sensitive issue! Let them live as we are living. How come law and order situation of our beloved homeland can improve if this game of 'Spilling Innocent Blood' is continuously played!

First of all a muder of any human being is always a tragdy and the killers should be punished. How does ET or the people commenting here know the motive of the killer? Can't it be anything other then the religious affiliation of the person killed? It's shameful how ET has to paint everything in a religious context but I am not suprised! ET does get funding for sources that have an anti-pakistan agenda.

The meek are being persecuted relentlessly in Pakistan. Our tolerance of wajib-ul-qatal calls from the pulpit for decades are bearing their bitter fruits. The fires of hatred and extreme incitement to violence are spreading rapidly and will soon engulf everyone.

If people read Quran, they do not understand it because it is in Arabic and Arabic is not taught in Pakistan. We are Muslims in name only, withuot understanding the religion of peace and the book of God.
Pakistan has become a lawless country. If these fiers are not put out, they will burn all of us.
All of this is indeed iviting Allah's curse. This should be stopped if Pakistan wants to get out of the worsening crises it is getting itself into. As mentioned by Dr. Hoodbhouy mentioned in "Run for your life" already most of the cream of literate professionals have left the country, others would follow suit. Many prominent doctors and scientists have gone abroad and serving in other countries. Their sevices are much needed here, but they unwillingly had to opt for leaving their homeland. What a shame. The wrath of God becomes inevitable when innocent people are killed.

Unfortunately this is not the country which was dreamed by Quaid i Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. The situation of minorities in Pakistan has become worse. The religious extremism has made this country a war land where the deprived masses are living a mesrible life. Ahmadiyya Jammaat is very badly persecuted in Pakistan on the basis of there faith and beleives. This religious hate campaign and persecution must be stopped by irony hand by the state otherwise this fire will burn the whole nation, as it is happening in Balochistan.
