Police claim arrest of Bawany family murderer
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Crime Branch Chaudhry Aamir, the murderer admitted to having killed all five members of the family. He revealed that he had served the family as a driver.
The family – residing in Askari III – was murdered on February 29. The murderer also revealed that he had murdered the family during the robbery.
The victims included Arif Bawany, his wife Zainab Bawany, son Zubair, daughter-in-law Aliya and granddaughter Rida. The victims had been stabbed in the chest.
The police said that they have not yet received the forensic reports and that it will take another week. The murderer has been detained by the crime branch, where investigations are underway.

Thank God the SC didn't take notice, otherwise this would never have been "solved". Who is to be blamed for this sorry state of affairs? Us the people of Pak, especially the people of Karachi who have sold their soles either to the PPP, MQM or to ANP.
It is unfortunate that people who hire personal servants do not register domestic servants with the local Police Station, despite repeated announcement by the Police.
Had the killer been registered with the area Police Station, he would have given a second thought whether to commit crime or not.
There are some people who do not take necessary security measures while hiring domestic servants and also given them access to roam freely in the residence.
One of the loophole is that the place of residence where people got killed was not properly secured during the night time which allowed the killer to enter in the house.
These are small and petty matters which people ignore, resulting in murders and deaths of innocent people.
I hope that people hiring domestic servants will take a lesson from the brutal killings of Bawany family and will properly follow the rules and regulations laid down by the local Police.
I hope that such a horrible incident should not occur again.
May Al-Mighty Allah rest the souls of the deceased persons and give them eternal peace.and strength to the bereaved members of the family to bear the irreparable loss of human lives. Ameen.

The police had no knowledge of the arrest until later, it was the military who arrested the man because it was cantonment area.
The culprit will be freed for want of concrete evidence and crimes will go on. I do not know who is to blamed, police or judiciary or the lawyers. I think all of them.
