KARACHI:

The police official at Karachi’s Drakhshan police station is allegedly being pressured to withdraw a case against the son of Balochistan CM Nawab Aslam Raisani, or else he would be fired.

The police officer in question is said to have gone to interior Sindh, fearing for his life. Earlier, 18 to 20 drunken people – travelling in three luxury SUVs – were making revelry outside the resident of former Sindh home minister Zulfiqar Mirza when two police officials  confronted them.

The revellers then beat up the officials, snatched their weapons and fled the scene. ASI Hussain lodged a complaint against 18 people, including Yadgar Raisani, the Balochistan CM’s son.

Clearly, Raisani's son isn't one of those Balochis who are suffering. That's the real tragedy of Balochistan - that it is ruled by these sort of people.
