Just wanted to point out one thing: Jinnah never thought Hindus and Muslims could not live together.

ISLAMABAD: Pervez Hoodbhoy’s article is excellent. Just wanted to point out one thing: Jinnah never thought Hindus and Muslims could not live together. What he wanted was a compromise — his Pakistan did not necessarily mean a vivisection of India. This is precisely why he appointed a Hindu as Pakistan’s first law minister.
