Huge cache of weapons seized

Authorities seized six rocket launchers besides other heavy weapons including ammunition.

The authorities have arrested three persons on charges of possessing illegal weapons and seized a huge cache of arms from their possession.

Addressing a press conference on Sunday, Gilgit-Baltistan Home Secretary Sajid Chohan said they had seized six rocket launchers besides other heavy weapons including ammunition.

In addition to that, some arms have also been recovered from Basin area, where two people including a security official were injured in a clash earlier on Sunday. The home secretary said more raids will be conducted in the coming days, while the offices closed earlier will reopen on Monday.
