Land Dispute: Young man dies in a fight with Jamalis

HYDERABAD: A young man died in a battle between two tribes over a piece of agricultural land in Tando Muhammad Khan district on Saturday. The people of Sathio clan claimed that Jamalis attacked their men who were tilling the disputed land. Tando Muhammad Khan SHO said that according to Shakil Jamali, 17-year-old Qasim Sathio was throttled to death but the police was waiting for the result of the post mortem. The police have arrested 25 people who were engaged in the fight and most of them are from the Jamali community. Ghulam Babu Sathio, an elder of the Sathio community, claimed that Jamalis attempted to occupy around 200 acres of their land forcefully. The other community could not be reached for their version of the incident.
