Memon is an ex-MNA and former member of the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid.
An SMS from Dr Asif Kirmani, Nawaz Sharif’s political secretary, states that Memon will meet the party chief in Raiwand tomorrow and will make the announcement at a press conference around 10:30am.
The decision brings an end to much speculation on which political party Marvi Memon will join after she quit PML-Q. There had been speculation that she might join Imran Khan’s PTI after she attended a couple of high-profile party events.
Memon was also present at the PTI rally in Ghotki where former foreign minister and ex-Pakistan Peoples Party leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi had announced that he was joining the party.
It had been reported that after her resignation in June last year, PML-N and PTI had approached Memon to join their ranks.
Memon has been a vocal campaigner for human rights and development, both during her tenure as MNA and after her resignation, and she has taken up several high-profile cases, including the Airblue crash in 2010. She is a vociferous critic of the current government and its policies and tends to take a populist stance on issues.

A one man show cannot have two stars. PTI is one man show, Imran Khan is behaving like a dictator. In Pakistan these leaders are for life and act as dictators and owners of their parties. It is their career and full time job and have never worked in their life for a living. Even if they hold elections they are elected forever without any challenge from within the party. IK- doesn’t believe in democratic decision making within the party. The Tsunami boss is trying to run it like an old Kaptaan of a young cricket team- won’t work JI, as some seasoned “outsiders” have become “insiders” over night. IK, not only needs to improve his communications skills but also listening skills.
Marvi was a bargainer and tried to hunt a deal with PTI but failed ,she was annoyed that Shah Mehmood did not allow her on stage in Ghotki.No principle was involved in both deals , it was just a bargain. .

Motorways,Air Ports,Industries,Atomic test,IT revolution,Gawadar port,JF17 thunders,and there were talks and implementations to become Asian Tiger but unfortunately Musharaff stopped verything and put pakistan in this dangerous condition.

Marvi Memon entry into politics was courtesy of her ambitious father toadying to Musharraf. She got in on a reserve seat and never had to face an election, which would have probably rigged in her favour, but then at least would had a chance to meet ordinary Pakistanis during a political campaign of sorts. Hers is 'elite' politics. Meet the leaders and inveigle your way in.

i loved her even when she was with musharraf, i saw conviction in her, thought she is different and can make difference. i wished PTI for her but then saw her talking against PTI, that disappointed me. Sorry, Marvi we love you alot, but not as we love IK. He means much more to us. still i would say, PMLN is not worthy of you.

How do you judge a party? By how well it has done in the past. PML-N had two sessions in power, what did they do? The country came more indebted, they did not spend on education. Look at the schools in Pakistan now, many of the government schools in Punjab are in appalling condition. They built one run of the river dam, and even that was not entirely their doing.
Will they raise more tax revenues to spend on health and education, reduce corruption, get rid of ghost schools? These are the issues that matter and I think PML-N and the PPP are absolute failures on this regard. She has made the wrong choice, the PML-N are utter failures.

Just wondering, since Marvi has joined PMLN over PTI, she definitely isnt a LOTA is she?? Nor should she be a byproduct of the past system whereby rich people (whichshe is--very), can cling onto power based on their fathers (again true for her) assets. How hypocrite is the nation where if someone joins PTI, they become a lota, whilst PMLN joining ensures a bath in ganges...................lol

Well Marvi has only one negative on her political CV that she supported Musharaf when Musharaf was at exit door other than that she is a very progressive female politician & on the other hand PML(N) is the most optimum party as far as experience performance & team factors are concerned so I believe its a right decision by Marvi.. I hope it proves best for Pakistan aswell..

In my independent opinion she's making a great decision. PTI is a temporary party which has no future at all. Imran Khan is just making people fool all over. Bravo lady

Well i thought Marvi Memon will make her Own Party because she gives Alot of examples of Leadership from Grass Loot Level but PML-N Top Leadership is a Expired Product of General Zia and General Jilani.

What a shame, I guess that is true we don't want change, we are happy the way our country is going. We like corruption, it does not bother us what the political parties do with our money. We are happy if there is no rule of law, we can survive with no basic needs. Way to go my countrymen, just keep quite and live this miserable life ...
I think she has made a wise decision. PML-N needed someone like Marvi to organise the party in Sindh.
In my opinion, it will end up as a frustration for an ambitious lady like Marvi Memon since her dreams soar high and she would expect to rise to higher positions with passage of time while the party suffers from democracy within itself and she will never become more prominent than Hamza Shahbaz and Maryam Nawaz (or Safdar).
U know why she didnt join because shah Mahmmod qureshi didnt allow her to announce her decision in Ghotki..I am from PTI..But I must admit that we have lost one thing just cuz of SMQ n Imran Hsloudl have convincd SMq to allow memo to speak that day...wih =ive comes -ive ..its a package Imran bhai
