A criminal identified as Shahu Machi was killed in an encounter with the Matiari police, said DIG Ghulam Hyder Jamali in a press conference on Friday.
The home department was willing to pay Rs500,000 to anyone who caught him. Machi was wanted in more than 30 murders, attempted murders and robbery cases. The police claim that while the suspect was killed, three of his accomplices managed to escape.
