In a bid to end printed bills and physical visits to banks, KESC customers can now pay their monthly electricity bills online by logging on to KESC’s official website to pay by using their 13 digit account number.
The banks which have been connected to KESC's online bill payment network include Allied Bank, Burj Bank, Bank Al Habib, Citibank, HBL, KASB Bank, MCB Bank, Standard Chartered bank, Summit Bank, Samba Bank, Soneri Bank and UBL.
Customers holding accounts in any of these banks can utilize the facility by getting registered for online banking services if they are not already registered. They can also visit their own internet banking page and pay their power bills by entering their 13 digit KESC account number by opening the power utility section in the utility column. Their KESC bill amount would appear on their internet banking site within seconds through the integrated network, following which, payments can be made through a simple process taking less than one minute.

@Nasir: SSGC has launched this service long time back. I think KESC has just launched this or promoting this.
Well done.
How exactly does it work? Is it secure? Account number is no secret and anyone can know your bank account number. Hell, it's printed on every cheque you write!
I have been paying my KESC, PTCL and SSGC bills through MCB and UBL online banking for the last five years.....why is this suddenly news?
Good.
Good job done by KESC.
People expect more than what KESC has done in bringing the online monthly bills. The best thing is yet to come and it would be that KESC should announce that there will be no |load-shedding" in Karachi during the coming summer which is fast approaching.
