United States military personnel are currently present in India to assist the country with counter-terrorism and in containing Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), a Pakistan-based militant group, a BBC report revealed on Friday.

India blames LeT, which means ‘The Army of the Pure’ in Urdu, for the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks.

A top Pentagon commander, US Pacific Commander Admiral Robert Willard, stated that US special forces were also present in four other South Asian countries besides India. These countries are Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Maldives.

Willard has said that the special forces were working “very closely” with India on their counter-terrorism capabilities.
We are working very closely with India with regard to their counter-terrorism capabilities and in particular on the maritime domain but also government to government, not necessarily department of defence but other agencies assisting them in terms of their internal counter-terror and counterinsurgency challenges.

The US admiral termed LeT a “very dangerous” organisation and said that it was an important threat. He also added that the group was contributing to terror operations in Afghanistan and was also aspiring to work against Asia, Europe and North America.

This article from International Herald Tribune should set things straight. Both India AND US say tat news about stationing US special forces in India is factually incorrect.

A U.S. admiral when disclosing that U.S. special forces are stationed in India said they are 'not necessarily Department of Defense' but other agencies. These are CIA teams -- whose presence India's ministries of defence and external affairs spokespersons would not know about and hence are denying -- with the mission of snatching or neutralizing India's nuclear warheads, as similar CIA teams successfully did in Pakistan. Unless India's nuclear forces trigger India's nuclear warheads emplaced in New Delhi, Washington and New York without further delay (see my blog 'Nuclear Supremacy For India Over U.S.' which can be found by a Yahoo/Google search with the title), the result will be worse than in Pakistan because India's RAW and other forces work for the CIA . I have said Bikram Singh, who has been designated as the Army chief beginning May 31 '12 is a CIA-RAW man and that must not be allowed. India's CIA-RAW government has been in a hurry to bring him in as Army Chief to try and take India's nuclear warheads away from patriotic hands and in the hands of traitors. Satish Chandra
