PTI will catch Benazir’s assassins: Imran
PPP leader Dr Israr Shah joins PTI for ‘sole purpose of nabbing BB’s killers’.

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf will pursue the murder case of former premier Benazir Bhutto in an effort to fulfill the “long-lasting” wish of senior Pakistan Peoples Party’s leaders who have joined the party, said PTI chairman Imran Khan.
Khan was addressing a press conference on Thursday during which PPP senior leader Dr Israr Shah formally joined the PTI bandwagon.
“My sole purpose to join PTI is to nab the killers of the late Benazir Bhutto,” Dr Shah said.
“We would not have needed Dr Shah to join us to capture Bhutto’s killers; we would have done it [nevertheless],” Khan said.
Dr Shah went on to add, “Now, nobody can stop me from exposing the real people who had been trying to cover up the murder.”
“I am free to speak. Any attempt to stop me will be a disaster,” he added.
He, however, did not elaborate despite being questioned by reporters. Shah said that he joined the PTI to complete the unfinished agenda of Benazir Bhutto, who he called his political mentor.
Further talking about Bhutto’s murder, Khan said that PTI will expose those who were involved in the murder, when they come into power.
He recalled that three years back he had said that the PTI would be the one to arrest the killers in the case.
The United Nations investigators’ special inquiry report, Khan added, stated that the officials concerned did not cooperate fully to unearth the accused persons.
PTI leader condemned the Kohistan attack in which 16 people were murdered in cold blood. “It is the government’s responsibility to catch the culprits,” Khan said.
Khan concluded by saying that anybody can join the PTI. “We don’t need anyone’s permission to allow people to join us.”
