The Prime Minister, in his congratulatory message, said that Chinoy had made all Pakistanis proud by producing the documentary "Saving Face", which is a perfect work of art representing creativity, objectivity and reality, with a touch of passion and devotion.
He said this outstanding success of Sharmeen Chinoy at the international level would surely lead to enhancing the soft image of Pakistan.
The singular success of Chinoy is the tangible manifestation of the talent the Pakistani youth is gifted with, the Prime Minister added.

Thanks for washing your dirty linen in public as if west has got nothing to be ashamed of...... But one thing gives me reason to be happy, it's that west is determined to go to any distance to defame anything associated with Islam (including pakistan) and that shows how insecure they are and how potent Islamic idealogy is........ Alas how naive Muslims are !
@Muhammad: Are you a perfect Muslim? She's very decently dressed (now don't tell me if I would like to see my sisters dressed this way because that's none of your business). And exactly for the same reason you should stop interfering in other's people lives just because you think they are not following your brand of Islam, she probably dresses like that in Pakistan, too. Its a personal choice. Don't criticize others using your keyboard when you yourself aren't doing anything. She came back to Pakistan after studying/working in the US, just to make a difference. How many of us would do that? to me, THAT matters, AND NOT what she's wearing because that's nobody's business, (she's dressed very decently anyway and I have seen women dressed like that in Pakistan, too).
Sleeveless is fine. She just need to exercise a little more! Anyhow her work matters more for me. We need to stop this heinous crime of acid throwing in our country. The next project has to be on people with psychiatric illnesses or child abuse. How many with sleeves people have made documentaries like this.
@Muhammad: You live in a society that makes its business to judge others on what they wear or how they talk or walk. Are you yourself a perfect role model of a Muslim? Forget about what Sharmeen wore. Worry about your salvation and redemption. It will do you a whole lot of good.
This film and the events surrounding the film are a mirror that shows an ugly collective face, of self-righteous judges, a whole lot of them. Can this face be saved? Yes. However, the gravity of mental deprivation begs for nothing short of divine intervention.
Looking at the picture what do you think made Sharmeen decide on wearing a sleeveless shirt? All those "developed" minds please don't start bashing about rights, democracy, freedom to say/do what one's like. Think first. She is a Pakistani, she is Muslim - hence there is both national and religious dress code. What puts in someone's mind that unless you dress to please audience your importance somehow will be less? The documentary is already made, Oscar has already been chosen to be awarded to her documentary... then the big question is: WHY... WHY... WHY... cannot you represent yourself with your national or religious identity...
is that not a right, freedom to choose?
and if you do not... are you doing it because you are exercising your right to NOT do it? or are you doing it under some low confidence, audience pressure, social pressure, global pressure?
ok... now you can flame me...
