FAISALABAD: District Coordination Officer (DCO) Naseem Sadiq on Monday directed the departments concerned to expand the scope of an anti-dengue fever campaign underway in the district. He said the campaign should be stepped up to ensure that there was no outbreak of the disease in Faisalabad. In a directive issued to all the assistant commissioners, tehsil municipal officers, union council secretaries and health department officials, the DCO said numberdars of villages should be involved in the awareness raising campaign. He said the Education Department was assisting the district administration in conducting a survey in the district. He said survey forms were being distributed among students at all public sector education schools. Seminars, workshops and meeting were also being held after regular intervals to spread awareness about the prevention and treatment of the disease, he added. A cell was monitoring the campaign and enabling coordination among various departments involved in it, the DCO said.
