The spokesperson for Humayun Akhtar Khan, PML (like minded group), alleged that Jahangir Tareen’s seminar on energy was a replica of Khan’s “Road Map to Pakistan’s Recovery”, albeit with a few minor changes.
Calling it unfortunate, spokesman of the PML (Like Minded) requested other leaders to present original solutions to pull the country out of the crisis and prepare their own road maps rather than copying the plans of other political parties.
The representative of Pakistan Muslim League (Like Minded) said in a press statement that last year, PML Secretary General Humayun Akhtar Khan had launched his party’s Road Map which covered 25 areas including management of energy crises, economy, good governance, education, health, foreign policy, terrorism, constitutional reforms, women rights, minorities, industry, agriculture, services, trade, infrastructure, housing, water, culture and arts, environment etc.
He claimed that the PML (Like Minded) is the first political party which presented an organised road map to pull the country out of crises.
The spokesman added that last year in May, in a national newspaper, Khan’s comprehensive article titled “Resolving the Energy Crises” was also published.

PML LM is a group of self serving people. I don't see their role in democracy. Humayun Akhtar is birth child of military that Ch Nisar rant about.

PTI released salient features of its 100 day plan before PML-LM unveiled its plans, which was the result of PTI think tanks' work and there were no electables with PTI at that time.

As for Jahangir Tareen, he is merely serving as a consolidator of the plans that were prepared by the the think tanks along with adding his input in different areas as he has more experience in government. PTI does not need to rely on Jahangir Tareen or any other electable for that matter as it has many well-reputed technocrats within its ranks and many more contribute because of IK's credibility.
Secondly, it was reported in this very paper, that PML-LM did indeed want to join PTI (or many of them), but wanted an assurance of TICKETS at joining which Imran Khan and the CEC was not willing to concede which is why they ultimately moved closer to PML-N. There was nothing MORAL or IDEOLOGICAL about it.
Firstly, PML-LM was offered to be a part of PML-N which they refused outright. they merely suggested an alliance be created amongst all the PML's, which is still staying within the parameters of the PML instead of jumping 3-4 parties in a single career. Also, the members of this party could have jumped ship to PTI easily considering PTI has not discriminated against any of Musharraf's men yet the PML-LM has stood its ground and is calling for an alliance w/ the existing PML (including other factions of the party) instead - anyone of sane mind can see that a true sycophant would run to Imran Khan who is by far the most popular leader in Pakistan today
Secondly, how can one claim that PTI's think tanks were working on this policy for over a year when the majority of PTI was inducted after the October rally (including its main policymakers). Let's get our facts and timing right and, before I forget... do your research, go over the two policies, and then make your mind up without preconceived biases..
Lastly - I wouldn't be surprised to see plagiarized bits considering this country has no intellectual properly laws whatsoever.
The difference is PTI may be able to implement their plans, while with the way PML-LM is cosying up and allying itself with PML-N, it is quite doubtful if they'll be able to create any meaningful change even by having the best plans available. Political will is required...
P.S. PTI's energy policy was formulated by its think tanks which have been working for more than an year now. They have enough original brains to not rely on "road maps" of parties like the PML-LM. A bit of overlapping is of course possible.
Mr. Humayun Akhtar's road map was published early last year-way before the PTI seminar.
Imran Khan and his party have not been able to give details about policy plans for a long long time-now that they are suddenly announcing different policies they will adopt when the come into power, it turns out that they are using other people's ideas word for word!
Oh! the cream of Musharraf Cabinet (PML-Likeminded) which has recently formed an alliance with PML-N has also gone against PTI. Speaking at the behest of PML-N. Seems like every political party has grudges against this new emerging PTI. Were they sleeping before today, why didn't they present the policy before PTI.
