Siyal said that results will remain suspended until Bukhari’s case is investigated.
Appearing at a press conference on Sunday with the assistant presiding officer whom she had slapped at a polling station on Saturday, Bukhari said the misunderstanding has been removed and said that she became enraged because of the “rigging complaints”.
A television channel had caught Bukhari on camera smacking the young Shagufta Memon, after which she slapped another elderly woman, Habeeban Memon, driving her to tears.
Bukhari also had met the families of both her victims at their homes and had sorted out the matter.
According to unofficial results, Bukhari had bagged 24,980 in the polls.

very good verdict by the election commission against wahida shah, this is the vicotry of people of pakistan.

This is time to strict action against such rude lady who has become a shame for whole of our country and for our civilization . We should made her example for other so that in future no one should dare such act and nevr any body dare to take such type of step. This uncivilized lady should be diqualified. She has also caused our religious family who otherwise are mostly respected.
Surely, she does not deserve to represent people in the assembly. must be sent to jail.

Returning officer has withheld the result pending investigation of the incident and that the woman seen on Tv assaulting two poor innocent ladies on govt duty,has sorted out the matter with the victims and their relatives,indicates that we are a class society and if you are a politician you can go to extreme at your will. Had those two ladies punched the accused,they would be in lock up.Can a power hungry egoistic short tempered person serve it's constituents?

..Syeda Wahida Shah Bukhari, who was representing the PPP (Bibi`s Party) , must be smacked (twice) in the same manner as she smacked the two women present, in-presence of the media coverage..

It's not the Government zyze, it's the people!!! If the people are upright and proud no waderani like Waheeda Shah could ever have the courage to slap anyone. It's the people. Do not know if you remember the nurse who jumped from the second floor of Jinnah Hospital in Karachi a year or so ago because the Doctor attempted to rape her. She never showed up for her hearing at the court and the doctor was let go. Same thing with Raymond Davis case. The victim's family accepted huge sum of money and a Green Card from the US Government and called the matter 'settled.'
Same thing will happen with Polling Officers, Shagufta Memon and Habeeban Memon, they will "settle" with the Waderani Waheeda Shah. Just wait and watch and do not let your blood boil for nothing. Though I hope not, but wait and see, it will happen exactly the way I am predicting.
And you know what???? Your attention will have moved to something else in couple of weeks and you would hardly remember this ever happened. Remember the two Sialkot brothers who were beaten and lynched less than two years ago??? Oh, you don't? I understand!!!! It's the people.

This women dies not desreve any public office. I was reading an article about how strong the election commisssion is, in India! I wish we could learn from them about how democracy works!
I think a campaign is needed on social media websites alongside media highlight the issue further to force the authorities to take action against this whatever Waheeda Begum for such an illiterate assault on the presiding officer in the line of her duty.
This lady should be banned forever , to contest in any election. Make her the example for others , so others will not think of doing this stupid thing again. Govt, please do something positive at least for this episode.
