In a late-night development, the Balochistan home department confirmed that it has received from the federal government orders to withdraw all political cases against Baloch nationalist leaders Nawabzada Brahamdagh Bugti and Nawabzada Hrybyair Marri.

According to sources, the provincial home department has issued necessary directives to the police chief and commissioner to quash all political cases against Brahamdagh Bugti, who is also chief of the Balochistan Republican Party, and Hrybyair Marri, who is accused of leading the Balochistan Liberation Army.

Interior Minister Rehman Malik had announced earlier that the government would withdraw all cases against the Baloch nationalist leaders in the spirit of reconciliation so they could return to Pakistan. President Asif Ali Zardari has also tasked to Balochistan Governor Nawaz Zulfiqar Magsi to win over the disgruntled Baloch leaders.

The plan is to get the sardars back and separate the province somehow or the other once and for all before Imran Khan’s rally at the end of March – because then, the Balochistan situation would be REALLY past the point of no return, as no one will be wanting separation any more.

Thanks a lot, a real good step rather than talking. One only wishes if the SC and generals were not breathing down the neck of elected govt things could have been better and faster.

America cannot clean its own mess in Afghanistan and you are trapping them here. Please come up with new idea. Call some other country or make a deal with current govt, they can sell anything

    Thanks God,
At last, the interior minister or for that matter the president has done something that my be appreciated.
I dont think these sardars are going to come back.
They are not independent in making their decisions. And those who make decisions on their behalf will never let them come home.
My best wishes for our brother Sardars for “Getting independence/freedom from those Indian/Western Agents surrounding them”.
    May God help you.

These men are criminals and are working for CIA, MOSSAD and RAW trying to destabalize Pakistan and seperate Boluch province from it. Its all part of Indian RAW’s ‘Kao Plan’ for Balochistan. Please do not settle anything with these criminals and terrorists.

The Baluchistan awaam is with Pakistan and wants to remain with Pakistan.
