Country road: Link road to Gorakh Hill cut off
It happened because of land sliding during the torrential rains in 2011.
HYDERABAD:
The link road to the Gorakh hill station situated in the west of Dadu district has been cut off for the last seven months. It happened because of land sliding during the torrential rains in 2011. The estimated cost of development has been calculated to be around Rs300 million. According to the director general of Gorakh Hill Development Authority, Nazeer Ahmed Chakrani, a rehabilitation scheme was submitted to the government for approval. The minister of tourism in Sindh, Muhammad Ali Malkani, visited the area and inspected the broken roads a couple of days ago. He ordered that the repair work should begin at once instead of waiting for approval of the schemes. According to him, the federal and provincial governments were to share the cost of the project but the Sindh had received nothing from the federal government so far.
