A 29-year-old trader identified as Shahzaib Farooqui was shot dead in Urdu Bazaar on Saturday night, said the Aram bagh police. They claim that two men on a motorcycle shot Farooqui.
He was taken to Civil Hospital, Karachi. The police claim that Farooqui used to run four shops in Urdu Bazaar and was receiving threats from extortionists to pay Rs500,000. They added that he lived in Nazimabad.
