England caretaker manager Stuart Pearce offered generous praise for Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp’s administrative skills days before taking charge of the national team.
Pearce, who will be in the dug-out when England take on Holland in a friendly fixture at the Wembley stadium on Wednesday, spoke highly of Redknapp, the man billed in the media as the most likely successor to the job of the national team’s manager following Fabio Capello’s resignation.
“Harry’s man-management skills are absolutely outstanding,” said Pearce. “I worked with him for two years and really enjoyed it. He makes everyone feel important.”
