Change Of Command: Asma’s group wins LHCBA elections

Rafila Anjum Minhas was elected finance secretary and Hafeez-ur-Rehman Ch as vice president (VP).

LAHORE: The Asma Jahangir-led group defeated the Professional Group of Lawyers, as Shahram Sarwar, the candidate backed by the former, was elected President of the Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA). Sarwar’s PGL-backed rival Aslam Buttar was earlier tipped as a strong contender. Speaking on the occasion, Sarwar thanked his supporters and said that he would do everything he could for the welfare of the lawyers community and the betterment of the Bar.  Sardar Akbar Dogar was elected the secretary of LHCBA with an overwhelming majority. Rafila Anjum Minhas was elected finance secretary and Hafeez-ur-Rehman Ch as vice president (VP).
