PIA offers free transport of relief packages
KARACHI:
The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has offered to provide free services from Karachi to Islamabad and Peshawar in efforts to deliver relief packages to the people affected by flooding in the northern part of the country.
A PIA official said that the airline has appealed to the people to extend a helping hand in these efforts by donating medicines, dry or canned food, milk, tents and clothes.
PIA has also activated its Emergency Response Centre (ERC) in Karachi where these supplies will be collected.
NGOs and residents of Karachi can deliver goods to the ERC located at the PIA Training Centre Building near Terminal 1 between 9 am and 9 pm.
