Property dispute: Man shot dead

Complainant said suspects were forcing her son to transfer the land’s ownership to them.

HARIPUR: A young man was allegedly shot dead over a property dispute in Nilore Maira village on Thusday. The police quoted Parveen Akhtar as stating that her son Naveed Ahmed, 20, was on his way home from a nearby shop when Sabir and Shahzad allegedly opened fire and injured him seriously. He was taken to Women and Children Hospital Haripur, where doctors pronounced him dead. The complainant said that the suspects had encroached upon her agricultural land and were forcing her son to transfer the land’s ownership to them.
