HARIPUR: The body of a girl was found under unexplained circumstances near Abbottabad on Friday morning. According to the police, they received a tip-off about a body lying in the fields in Dobathar village. They reached the spot and took the body to Ayub Medical Complex for autopsy. The deceased was identified as 11-year-old Sana. According to hospital sources, there were wounds on the girl’s body, especially her head and face, but it is still unclear whether she was murdered. Her family, however, says she was epileptic and might have died after falling on a rock. However, independent sources contested the family’s claim and demanded an inquiry into the incident, saying that the girl’s parents were divorced two years back and the girl was living with her stepmother. The police have started investigations.
