KARACHI:

Engro Fertilizers Limited on Wednesday announced a reduction in di-ammonium phosphate (DAP) prices by Rs310 per 50kg bag.

The new price will now be Rs3,750 per bag, down from Rs4,060, following a decline in international prices, effective immediately. International prices have dropped from $700 to $610 per ton.

Engro Fertilizers Vice President Marketing Mohammed Khalid Mir said, “This reduction will be a relief to the farming community which has faced difficulties with rising prices of fertiliser and agricultural inputs. This will make fertiliser affordable for the upcoming sowing season for sugarcane, cotton and maize crops.”
