Attorney-General of Pakistan Maulvi Anwarul Haq has presented evidence against the prime minister in the contempt of court case as the court resumed hearing on Thursday.
The documents, which were presented on Wednesday, include the National Reconciliation Ordinance primary verdict and the order on the subsequent review appeal by the federal government. The evidence was earlier presented by the prosecution.
The court has included the documents in the case records.
Last week, the AGP had presented four volumes of documentary evidence.
Aitzaz Ahsan, the prime minister’s counsel, will submit a list of witnesses along with their statements in the case on February 27. A seven-member bench of the apex court, headed by Justice Nasirul Mulk, will examine the prime minister’s record on February 28.

Why the SC delaying the case. All know PM will not write letter. He is saying it last 4 to 5 months then what is the thing the SC is waiting. It is enough disqualify him or leave him
. . . and the venerable Supreme Court keeps knitting wool while the country burns. They have an uncanny ability to seek out the most frivolous issues upon which to focus their collective intellect, while happily ignoring the more fundamental problems which beset Pakistan. Justice is indeed blind . . .
Firstly, the terms of this facade have changed. The instruction initially was to write a letter to the Swiss authorities. Which was never done . Based on which a contempt notice was issued. Simple enough so far..
The court has now wasted enough time deliberating on this point. Even a first year law student can determine that the PM is at fault. So, it is mystifying why the learned judges are unable to deliver the final decision? It is not a personal decision. It is a decision on a point of law.
The only conclusive response to this, keeping in mind that CJ was reinstated only after he had visited America in the company of Atizaz Ahsan, is that perhaps that Uncle Sam has not as yet given the green light.
All this aside. the poor sapless citizens want to know when is this letter going to be written? And by whom?
NRO verdict and the Review papers must have been the in records of SC. Why the need to present? Is AGP presenting views of AGP & Law Sec. who were made to resign ? If not why not ?
Poor show by SC, the did the same with Musharaf, dragged the verdict and look what happend.
