Pakistan number one Aqeel Khan moved into the final of the IC Trophy National Ranking Tennis Championship after defeating Jalil Khan 6-4, 6-4 in a one-sided encounter at the Karachi Gymkhana, according to information provided by the Sindh Tennis Association.
Aqeel will face Yasir Khan today, who held the advantage in his last-four fixture with Nomi Qamer 6-2, 3-0 before the latter retired hurt.
Meanwhile, in the ladies’ singles, Saba Aziz set up a final showdown with Sara Mansoor after prevailing over Maheen Dada 7-5, 6-2 in the semi-final. Mansoor outplayed Iman Qureshi 6-4, 7-5 in the other last-four encounter.
