RAHIM YAR KHAN: “Faiz is a name of an era and it will alive always,” author Jabbar Wasif said on Monday. Wasif was addressing a ceremony organised by a literary organisation Soch to celebrate Faiz Ahmed Faiz’s 101th anniversary. The event, held at a hotel, was presided over by Soch president Nasir Mehmood Lala. Professor Sagheer Ahmed said that a single event was not enough to describe the art and personality the great poet possessed. Poet Khalid Mehmood Zaki said that poets like Faiz were born in centuries. Towards the end of the event, participants cut an anniversary cake for the poet.
