PESHAWAR:
To enhance the service of the health centres and provide improved health services to the communities of conflict affected areas, the government has equipped and rehabilitated District Headquarter hospital in Dir Town and Rural Health Centre in Wari Tehsil of Upper Dir. Official sources said on Sunday that the infrastructure of these health institutions was badly damaged due to influx of Internally Displaced Persons and both hospitals were lacking basic medical equipment. Therefore the government equipped and rehabilitated both the hospitals by providing necessary medical equipment and furniture. To District Headquarter Hospital Dir Town 180 wooden chairs, 150 single beds with mattresses, 20 heaters, 18 patient wheelchairs, 20 operation trolleys, microscopes, anaesthesia machine, generator, refrigerator, 12 geysers, five computers, printers, scanners and other medical equipment have been provided. By rehabilitating and equipping these health centres in Upper Dir, more than 212,500 patients will get improved health services annually.
