American Intervention: US govt, not people the ‘enemy’

PU VC says US government was responsible for some of the trouble.

LAHORE: The American people are not our enemy, said the Punjab University Vice Chancellor Dr Mujahid Kamran on Saturday. He was addressing a moot of defence analysts and journalists held at the Punjab University to discuss Pak-US relations and increasing foreign interference in Balochistan. Kamran said that the US government was responsible for some of the trouble. The US Congress had also passed the National Defence Authorisation Act, which authorises US forces to hold a ‘terror suspect’ anywhere in the world indefinitely, he said, adding that no court could be approached for relief.
