Kesc Protest: Staff’s children submit memo to CJP

KARACHI: Hundreds of children of KESC employees facing retrenchment staged a protest demonstration before the Karachi Registry of Supreme Court here on Saturday morning. The protesters, carrying placards and banners highlighting their demands, braved strong chilly winds for hours at a stretch. The traffic on the intersection of Shaheen Complex and II Chundrigar Road was suspended as police blocked the road for traffic. The protesting children later handed over a memorandum addressed to the Chief Justice of Pakistan to the Deputy Registrar of Karachi Registry and dispersed peacefully.
