Snow no more: Lowari Tunnel open for light traffic

The road remained closed for weeks for all types of vehicular traffic during snowfall was cleared

CHITRAL: The 101 Engineering Battalion of Pakistan Army is still working to clear the Lowari Tunnel which has been opened for light traffic. The Lowari Tunnel is the only land route that connects Chitral with the rest of the country. The road, which generally remained closed for weeks for all types of vehicular traffic during snowfall was cleared after hectic efforts.
