KARACHI: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Zaka Ashraf has shown a keen interest in promoting cricket in the Federally Administrated Tribal Areas (Fata) and promised to consider the request of making it a separate region within the country’s cricket circle.

Ashraf met a delegation of representatives from Fata at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore yesterday where he was apprised of the specific issues being faced by the region. The chairman assured the delegation their problems would be resolved. “The PCB is committed to taking measures which help in promoting cricket even in the remotest regions,” said Ashraf. “Our country possesses tremendous potential.
