The correct figure is that 94% children can’t read English, while 62% can’t read sentences in Urdu or Sindhi.

KARACHI: The story on page 13 in the Karachi section, “94 per cent children in grade III can’t read,” stated that “94% of children in grade III cannot read English, Urdu or Sindhi.” However, the correct figure is that 94% children can’t read English, while 62% can’t read sentences in Urdu or Sindhi. The error is regretted.
