Golf: Shabbir grabs share of lead

KARACHI: Pre-tournament favourite Shabbir Iqbal was tied on top of the leader-board along with Matloob Ahmed and Safdar Khan as the Rashid D Habib Memorial National Professional Golf Tournament teed off at the Karachi Golf Club yesterday. The trio carded scores of 69 in the opening round of the Rs1 million competition. Meanwhile, the duo of Shahid Javed and Nadeem Inayat also remained in contention with gross scores of 70.
