"The permission has been given for food items," a defence ministry official quoted Defence Minister Ahmed Mukhtar as saying at a function in Islamabad.
"Since the food items were perishable, we have allowed them to transport them by air to Afghanistan.
"We have told them to take the supplies out by air and don't bring more for the time being," the official quoted him as saying.
US ambassador to Islamabad, Cameron Munter, last week confirmed that NATO had continued to fly supplies into Afghanistan despite Pakistan's closure of the border to NATO trucks and oil tankers on November 26.
Relations between Pakistan and the United States sunk to an all-time low after air strikes killed 24 Pakistani soldiers along the Afghan border in an incident that the United States blamed on mistakes made by both sides.

What stops Pakistan being a giant industrial country. Why you need aid, it is because of a ruinous policy of your radical leaders. Since they are flying with the knowledge and approval of your government and armed forces, it is not a violation of sovereignty. Airlines routinely fly over other countries air space, it is not considered violation of sovereignty since the permission of the government in hand has been obtained .
Now tat Raza Rabbani has sought and received the agreements that Musharraf had made with USA, it is clear that even drones did not violate the sovereignty since it was with approval of Pak establishment.
Ha, won't be surprised if it emerges that drones are still taking off from Pakistan airfields!! The order was to vacate 'Shamsi' not other 'X', 'Y' or 'Z' bases!!!

Major parties in outside and inside parliament should provide assistance to party in power regarding the dealing with daily affairs of state. When enemy see unity in the nation he stopped not dare to move forward and compel to accept demands.

diplomacy must be in action if Pakistan want to stop Drone attacks. This time,we are in a position put our legitimate demands before them.
Action should be last option,compel to them in the first instance.War is not the solution of any problem.

US have been continually violating this article by conducting drone attacks and more. UN is silent because it is itself off-spring of US administration. What about the Pakistans Army are doing in her part. Her job does not allow her to indulge only in political issues. Please Pakistan army open your inner eye; and perform your primary job. The food would have gone to waste so it was a good decision to send it + NATO troops were on brink of Africa type starvation so the decision was made on humanitarian basis as well. Still I think ammo supply should be stopped permanently.
When will our establishment and politicians stop lying? Its not just food supplies. They have allowed everything to go through. The land route was closed for public posturing only. Shame on our and leaders and shame on our nation which is allowing our enemies to use our resources to kill and occupy our muslim brothers.
