LAHORE: Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani said on Sunday there were indications of foreign intervention in Balochistan and announced that the government was ready to hold dialogue with Baloch leaders whether they are in or out of the country.

Addressing a meeting of the PPP Lahore divison at the Governor House, the premier said the government wanted to bring Baloch leaders into mainstream politics. He said the PPP wanted to reopen the case of judicial murder of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and added that lawyers in the party should form a team for the purpose. He directed Interior Minister Rehman Malik to hold thorough investigation into the murder case of Benazir Bhutto and make the report public.

The PM said that there should be a transparent mechanism to provide financial assistance to the deserving people. He said that the prime minister hepatitis programme was being implemented across the country and added that if there were some doctors in the party, they must help the government devise an effective strategy so that people could get clean drinking water.

Shahzada | 13 years ago | Reply Such offers seem to make more damage than any repair. There needs to be a very serious and well delibrated effort on the part of the government to talk and redress with the Baloch brothern. There should be a time-line and the engagement must be an out-come oriented led by a trusted politician involving all the stakeholders and having positive changes on the ground in on-going situation and in future.
