Festive firing: Man, nephew killed

FAISALABAD: A man and his nephew died at a wedding ceremony on Monday from injuries they suffered from bullets shot in the air. The deceased were identified as Muzaffar, groom’s brother, and Mateen, 7, his nephew. Ahmad Pur Sial police have registered an FIR under section 302 of Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) on the complaint filed by the groom Sajid Husain. Police said no one had yet been accused of the murder as a number of people were firing bullets at the wedding. They said the bodies had been sent for an autopsy. Muzaffar and Matteen had arrived with the barat when stray bullets shot at the wedding hit them.
