ISLAMABAD:
The armies of India and Pakistan will hold simultaneous military exercises this month near their common frontier.
The Times of India says India is set to launch a month-long desert exercise in the western state of Rajasthan in mid-April.
During these exercises, the Indian army will practice launching self-contained mobile “battle groups,” with Russian-origin T-90 tanks and upgraded T-72 M1 tanks.
India aims to test offensive strategies and the war games will involve air forces.
On the other hand, Pakistan’s military will conduct its war exercises, Azm-e-Nau 3, from April 10th to May 13th in Punjab and Sindh.
