Eight people, including two brothers, were killed and two wounded in two separate road accidents on the Quetta-Chaman Highway and in Sohbatpur on Sunday. Levies Force sources said a car heading for Quetta collided with a mud-laden truck near the Garang area, killing five people instantly. The driver and cleaner of the truck sustained injuries. An official said the incident occurred due to rain and snowfall in the area. The dead were identified as Abdul Bari, Abdul Qudos, Amanullah, Jamaluddin and Asmatullah. Separately, three people, including two brothers, were killed in a collision between a car and a motorbike in Sohbatpur. The bodies were shifted to a nearby hospital for autopsy and later they were handed over to heirs after completing legal formalities. The third deceased was identified as Allah Dina.
