Basketball: University of Central Punjab win title
The University of Central Punjab clinched the Pakistan Inter-Varsity Basketball Championship.
KARACHI:
The University of Central Punjab clinched the Pakistan Inter-Varsity Basketball Championship after defeating Lahore University 40-37 in the final. The victors bagged prize-money of Rs 12,000, while the runners-up were awarded Rs 9,000. Meanwhile, Bahauddin Zakariya University Multan edged out Seniors University Lahore 36-35 to claim third position. The four-day event, featuring 15 teams, was organised by the Pakistan Basketball Federation and the Higher Education Commission to promote the sport.
