MIRPUR: There has been no respite for people from the cold in the snow-clad Neelum and Leepa valleys which remained partially cut off from the rest of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK). Various link roads to the valleys have been blocked since mid-January, according to official sources. The partial closure of roads has disrupted the supply of foodstuff and other essential items. In Neelum and Leepa valleys, people were compelled to eat boiled vegetables and corn. According to the Met Office, the weather will remain mainly dry with a partly cloudy sky in AJK on Friday.
