Formula One: Alonso fastest on 4th day of testing
The Spaniard clocked in a lap in one minute and 18.877 seconds midway through the morning session.
JEREZ:
Fernando Alonso set the fastest time on the final morning of testing at Jerez to allay some of the early doubts regarding the performance of the new Ferrari F2012. The Spaniard clocked in a lap in one minute and 18.877 seconds midway through the morning session, the second-fastest time of any 2012 car so far behind Romain Grosjean’s time in the new Lotus. Meanwhile, Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel was limited to just a two-lap run after an electrical problem emerged in the new RB8.
